Cookies Policy
This policy explains what cookies are, the categories we set when you use Regal Casino, and what each one does. It also sets out how to change your choices at any time and what to expect if you turn cookies off.

What cookies are and why we use them
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on the device you are using. When you return, your browser sends the file back to us, so we can tell that the same device has been here before and keep your session running as you move from page to page.
This policy also covers technologies that work in a similar way, including pixels, tags, software kits inside our mobile app and small amounts of data held in local storage on your device. Where we say cookies below, we mean all of these.
We use them for a limited set of purposes:
- Keeping you signed in and carrying your session safely between the lobby, a game and the cashier.
- Protecting your account and our systems against fraud, automated attacks and unauthorised access.
- Remembering choices you have made, such as your preferred language or whether you have already seen a notice.
- Measuring how the site performs, so we can fix pages that load slowly or stop working.
- Measuring how our advertising performs and, where you have agreed to it, showing our adverts on other websites.
We hold a gaming licence and are required to confirm the identity and age of everyone who holds an account with us. A small number of cookies support those checks, together with security and payment processing, and cannot be switched off while you are using the site.
This policy sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains the wider personal data we hold about your account with us, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.
The types of cookies we use
The cookie notice on the site groups cookies into the four categories below. You can accept or decline each category separately, with the exception of the strictly necessary ones, which the site cannot run without.
| Category | Main purpose | Set without your consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Signing in, security, payments, age and identity checks | Yes |
| Performance and analytics | Counting visits and finding faults on the site | No |
| Functionality | Remembering the settings and preferences you choose | No |
| Marketing | Measuring and targeting our own advertising | No |
Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the site working. They hold your session open after you sign in, balance traffic across our servers, remember the items you have added in the cashier while a payment is in progress, and help us spot one person using several accounts. Without them you could not log in or deposit, so they are set as soon as you arrive.
Performance and analytics cookies
These count visits in an aggregated form and tell us which pages are used, how long they take to load and where errors occur. For example, they let us see that a game page failed to open on a particular type of device, or that a step in registration is being abandoned. We use the results to fix problems and simplify pages, not to make decisions about individual players.
Functionality cookies
These remember the choices you make so you do not have to repeat them. Examples include your language, the display settings you picked in the lobby, the games you have marked as favourites and whether you have dismissed a message. If you decline them, the site still works, but it will treat each visit as though it were your first.
Marketing cookies
These record that you reached us from one of our adverts or from a partner's website, so that the referral can be credited correctly, and they help us measure which campaigns bring people to the site. Where you have given consent, they may also be used to show our adverts to you elsewhere online and to avoid showing you the same advert repeatedly. We do not sell the data these cookies collect.
First party, third party and how long cookies last
Some cookies are set by us. Others are set by the providers we use for analytics, fraud prevention, payments, live chat and advertising measurement, and those providers handle the data under their own terms. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a fixed period, which is shown for each cookie in the cookie notice on the site.
How to manage your cookie choices
In the cookie notice on the site
When you first visit, the cookie notice asks what you want to allow. You can accept everything, decline everything other than the strictly necessary cookies, or open the detailed settings and choose category by category. You can reopen those settings at any time from the cookie link in the footer of every page, and your new choice applies straight away. Withdrawing consent does not remove data already collected, but it stops further collection.
In your browser
Your browser gives you separate controls over cookies, whatever you have chosen here. The wording differs between browsers, but the steps are much the same:
- Open the settings or preferences menu in your browser.
- Find the section covering privacy, security, cookies or site data.
- Choose whether to block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or delete cookies that are already stored.
- Save the change and reload the site so the new setting takes effect.
Mobile browsers and app stores offer similar controls, including a setting that limits advert tracking at device level. Private or incognito windows clear cookies when you close them, so the site will not remember your settings between visits. Clearing your browser data also removes the record of your cookie choices here, and the notice will appear again.
What happens if you block cookies
Blocking the optional categories is straightforward and the site will keep working. Blocking cookies altogether at browser level has a wider effect:
- You may not be able to sign in, or you may be signed out as soon as you open a game.
- Deposits and withdrawals in the cashier may fail part way through.
- Preferences, favourites and dismissed messages will not be remembered.
- Some pages may load slowly, display incorrectly or not open at all.
Your safer gambling settings are not stored in cookies
Deposit limits, loss limits, reality checks, time-outs and self-exclusion are held against your account on our systems, not on your device. Clearing or blocking cookies does not change or lift any limit you have set, and it does not end a time-out or self-exclusion.
How to reach us about cookies
If you have a question about this policy, want help changing your settings, or would like to know more about a particular cookie, contact our support team by e-mail at support@casinoregal.co.uk or through the live chat on the site. For questions about the personal data behind these cookies, including access and deletion requests, write to privacy@casinoregal.co.uk. We answer as quickly as we can and may ask you to confirm your identity before we discuss an account.
We update this policy when the cookies we use change, when our providers change, or when the law requires it. The current version is always the one published here, and material changes are flagged in the cookie notice so you can make a fresh choice.
Our services are for adults aged 18 or over only. If gambling is causing you difficulty, free confidential help and advice are available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, and you can block yourself from all licensed online operators in Great Britain through GamStop.
